  • Are kids allowed in your taproom?
    Of course! We are family friendly, and welcome children to accompany adults in our taproom. Our kitchen offers a kid’s menu, we have juices and other soft drink options, and have high chairs and booster seats available as needed. We ask that all children accompanying you on your visit be kept under adult supervision at all times for both their safety and to avoid disrupting the experience of other guests. Children that are causing a disruption or creating an unsafe atmosphere via running, entering the bar/other service areas/etc. will be asked to be placed under controlled supervision of their parent/guardian.
  • Are dogs allowed at the tasting room?
    Dogs are permitted on the patio but not inside.
  • Do you have outdoor/patio seating?
    Yes! Our patio is available for open seating. Please note that if you are sitting outside on our patio, you will need to order all drinks and food from inside at the bar.
  • Are dogs allowed on the patio?
    Yes! Our patio is pet friendly. Please ensure that all pets are kept outside on the patio at all times. Per health code, pets are not allowed inside the building into our taproom under any circumstances. All pets must be well-behaved and remain on a leash at all times. Pets are NOT allowed on tabletops. Any pets that are causing a disturbance or creating an unsafe environment will be asked to be removed from the patio.
  • Where should I park?
    We have a private parking lot located just off Oakland Ave. on the east side of our building. We also have street parking available in front of our building along Oakland Ave.
  • Do you have table service? How do we place our order?
    We do not have traditional servers in our taproom for table service, however, you have multiple ways to order! Every table is equipped with two QR codes – one allows you to view our draft/beverage menu, while the other brings up a food ordering menu. When you are ready to order your drinks, please head up to the bar where our bartenders will be more than happy to take your drink order. While you are at the bar, our bartenders can also take your food order and add it to your tab (should you choose to open one). If you would rather order food directly from your table, you can use the food menu QR code to place and pay for a food order. All food orders from the QR code will require payment to place the order, and therefore will be a separate transaction from your drinks order/tab. Please note: if you order food from a QR code, you MUST stay at that table, as that is where we will bring your food. If you move from this table, we will be unable to find you!
  • Can I make a table reservation?
    We are an open seating facility, and do not offer table reservations at this time. All seating is on a first-come, first-choice basis.
  • Do you serve anything other than beer?
    Yes! We are proud to offer a curated selection of wine and spirits, alongside our beer and occasional guest taps. We also offer various soft drinks.
  • Do you serve any gluten-free/non-alcoholic beverages?
    While we do not ourselves brew any gluten-free or N/A beer, we do offer a rotating selection of hard ciders, hard seltzers, non-alcoholic beer and soft drinks. Please ask a bartender for the current offerings.
  • Do you allow outside food?
    No, as we have a full service kitchen that provides a variety of food, from appetizers to pizzas & sammies to desserts.
  • Do you do growler/crowler fills?
    No, all of our draft beer is for on-site consumption only. We offer a selection of 4-packs of our beer for purchase to-go for off-site consumption.
  • Do you sell gift cards?
    Yes! You are able to purchase either a physical or a digital gift card in person at our taproom. You can also purchase a digital gift card by contacting us directly by emailing info@modernbrewery.com or calling/texting 314-788-0900.
  • I think I forgot to close my tab! What do I do?
    All tabs that are left open at the end of the night are closed with an automatic 20% gratuity added, as per our taproom policy.
  • I lost something at your taproom. Do you have a lost & found?
    Yes! Please email info@modernbrewery.com or call/text 314-788-0900 with a description of your lost item, and we will do our best to locate and hold your item for you.
  • Do you offer tours of your brewery?
    Not at this time. Our production and packaging facility is located off-premises from our current taproom and is therefore closed to the public.
